please bring back the anonymous posting. this is waaaay boring. censor the flock, and you'll never know what their thinking. better to read between the lines than to read a book with blank pages.

random drug testing does not measure the amount of drugs one is on while at work. if it did, then we should use it. otherwise, your getting into personal privacy issues. like communist, nazis, and the bush regime.

it seems that safety programs only came out of the death of doug gettel. not necessarily for the safety of us, but, for the cost decrease of liability insurance. it would be nice to see safety programs that cared about the worker and not the dollar.

there seems to be alot more contract compliance than not. grey area compliance...., well, gotta get rid of the grey area.

accountability of officials? what, like gps trackers, spy cams, and phone taps? sounds expensive.

i saw in seattle how at the top of a call. all hands met on deck and voted for the current steward. what a thankless difficult job. along with ba. you know with all that grey area and all. jeez, you try that job and see how much people love you!

as per the blog topic.
i suggest reminders that during coffee break we may be putting drugs into ourselves that make our tiredness worse. caffeine is a horrible legal drug. coming down from a caffeine buzz? a sugar donut buzz? might as well as drink booze for break.

there are high percentages of tiredness that are due more to dehydration than anything else. drink water people. lots of it. tons of it. as an alternative to caffeine and sugar. just try it to see if it works with your metabolism.

and dont forget stretching and breathing. and maybe some cardio stair stepping or laying flat and deep breathing as a 'pick me up'.
how 'bout a basketball game. that'll wake us up alot more effectively than caffeine and sugar.

at least some natural sugar from fruit instead of donuts.

whoa! get down off that soap box mr. ehaw. i've seen you with your fingers wrapped around a delicious glazed lovely before. what you say is true, but let thy tongue not touch the sweetness of the doughnut till thou hast eaten the fruit of which thou speakest. amen

i do agree that it has become boring in here. until your post i thought it might be over all together.

that is all.

NOPE! It's the same lame piece of crap we've always had. They did change the names of the officers. So,at least you know it's up to date.
Hey, let's see what it says under training.
"Please don't overlook the valuable experience that is available by volunteering at a local church or school. Some of these facilities have state-of-the-art equipment and will be quite happy to accept volunteer assistance.."
Well, ain't that rich?
I could have sworn I took an oath that obliged me to get financial restitution for the work that I do on stage.
Even McDonalds pays people to train.

Way to go spada ! Remember we will be hopefully ratifying a dress code for all employers at tonight's meeting. No more concert t-shirts. No shirts and pants with holes. Also, the mandatory drug testing policy will get voted on tonight. Please plan to attend.

i have a suggestion. DON'T USE FRONTPAGE!!! that is the shittiest program available to website construction. when i went to http://www.iatse51.org/ i was exposed to a directory list... not a good way to leave a site unattended.

anyway, take my advice, use css to style the site. it is forward compatible and makes for ease of updates. and THROW AWAY FRONTPAGE it's a piece of shit.

thanks,

cletus
