Busy Week for most...

From everything we have been told this week, everybody is working one, two, and sometimes three calls a day. People are going from one job to another, day to day.
Yes, it is very busy for all of us and we have to stay focused on work.
Except it seems for some of members of our organization, who have nothing better to do that to find out who writes this blog. Quit worrying about the author and pay attention to the points being made. Maybe if the Office spent as much time policing itself and less time whining about how tough 'their' jobs are, maybe we can be a better local. It's STAGEHANDS, not CHAIRSITTERS!

how can anyone take you seriously when you don't have the balls to let people know who you are? granted, my "identity name" is cletus. but all you have to do is click the link, read my profile and you'll know who i am.

I applaud all those who feel they can leave their identity for their comments but their comments are only a comment on the blog. The blog's comment are on the Local, and hence, will be through this forum, written as honestly and accurately as possible. The need for anonymity is to allow all, including the previous comment, to flow freely.

Dear cletus,
Despite a nonfunctional seniority system that allows producers to pick their crews, we all know that it can be very important to not upset Ricky and Butch if we still want to work. As this is setup by 'concerned union member' to be a forum for us to express our concern or displeasure with those that so directly control our income (and our relationship with clients) - I think anyone would understand any members need to be able to speak freely and with out financial repercussions. What is a cletus anyway? (I am mostly just curious about that - it is not explained in your profile)

dear anonymous,

in response to your query, cletus is a name - an actual real name given to some male humans born into this world. it was more common in the southern states in the years prior to the late 20th century. [made famous by The Simpson's cletus the slack-jawed yokel] there are not too many cletus' to be found of late. as for me, it was a nick-name given to me by an old friend. he was clovis, i was (and still remain...) cletus.

you may call me ALL POWERFUL SOUND MAN! keeper of jobs and controller of theater staff. as you know, i can sway the minds of management...at least that's what some people think....hey, maybe i can get some AC at the back of the house with my special independent powers, huh???

All Hail Cletus!

That AC power is on the way sir.... Well only if we can find the damn wire in the wall.

So I heard from a little monkey that you might be able to get me a gig in the box office? I've got seniority and I watched them sell them tickets once does that qualify me for the job?
