Just remember to be thinking of who you want running your local for the next three years. Start thinking of the incumbents and the announced challengers. Discount the known knuckleheads and think outside the tired and true.

I’ve been following the presidential verbal campaign as loosely as possible, punctuating my inattention with an occasional outburst of what is meant to be intelligent, if caustic, commentary, such as here and here. It has become clear and insufficient, like those people in the currenct office. The campaign has become no more orderly, than the ump wearing stripes. The candidates no more candid (yes, isn’t it odd how that little word pops up?), nor the membership more interested in the outcome. It’s time for me to take action. So in the course of this little essay I shall declare for my candidacy!
