Election Day

We understand that the upcoming Local elections will determine how our Local is ran for the next three years, but don't forget today is Election Day and there are a number of candidates that need your help. The voting process is the foundation of our government, even thought at times it seems like a meaningless gesture. But each population gets the government it deserves, so if you think you are being ignored, use your vote to get their attention. A strong electorate elects leaders that will do what it constituents want. A weak electorate elects leaders that will do what the leaders want.

tell you what Hawkins is a prime example of people who wouldn't know a voting ballot even if he was smoking one at the time. Speaking of weak leaders if I had to go into battle with Hawkins as my comander I would just quit! So on the upcomming elections vote NO for Hawkins, and YES for America.

dear concerned stagehand,

please check your grammar before you post a message. it hurts my eyes to read some of your grammatical errors. the most blaring in this post is your incorrect use of the past tense in the very first sentence. "We understand that the upcoming Local elections will determine how our Local is ran for the next three years..."

let me help:

we understand that the upcoming Local elections will determine how our Local is RUN for the next three years...

please consider the reader before you hit the "publish post" button.

thanks,

Dear Cletus,
Thank you for your constructive criticism. I will try harder to make this less painful for you.
Having you take the time to correct a minor error is the last thing that this blog would want. You have so many other important duties to tend to...

i wish to correct cletus' spelling of the word 'naw'.
the correct spelling would be 'nah'.

the spelling in context identifier (sic) would have to used to imply a southern drawl.

when (sic) is not used in the usage of 'naw', the word is considered mispelled...or mispell't (sic)

The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition says that 'nah' is a variant of the word no.

i might argue that the correct etymological variant would be of the derivative of 'nada'.

'naw' could also be a mispelling of 'gnaw'- to bite or chew on, esp. persistently.

which in cletus' sentence, could be a mispelled onomatopoeia of what he was eating while typing. possibly beef jerky or tube steak.

or possibly 'chewing the fat' with concerned stagehand.

never the less. cletus' ability to put someones grammer in check should also footnote the disclaimer that all literal intentions may be subject to cruel rhetorical evaluation and lexically ambiguous fodder.

furthermore........

nevermind..
